Bob Harris

Bob Harris serves as one of ODGS’s Senior Grants Manager and brings 27 years of expertise in engineering, environmental compliance, and federal grant funding at the second fastest growing port in the United States over the last decade. He has an advanced understanding of the complete grant lifecycle, having managed over $82 million in grants from initial concept and grant application through project closeout. His knowledge of environmental compliance and NEPA requirements can be extremely helpful to move smoothly through the pre-award phase of the grant lifecycle. He has served most of his career at the Alabama Port Authority in the role(s) of Environmental Health and Safety Manager, Vice President of Environmental and Program Management, and Vice President of Technical Services. Bob holds advanced degrees in both engineering and business administration and is a registered professional engineer in Alabama. He is a member of the National Grants Management Association and is a Certified Grants Management Specialist.
